Sports analyst Dany Dubé launches Play360tm, a 3D digital application for players, coaches, parents and hockey fans

Montreal, April 18, 2018 —   Coaching Technologies, a Trois-Rivières company cofounded by sports analyst Dany Dubé, will launch on Wednesday the Play360tm application, a platform offering 3D animated digital content for players, coaches, parents and hockey fans.

The application, which will be available on iOs, is inspired from the Netflix formula and offers its subscribers a new sports capsule every week, recreating virtually in 3D the play charts used by hockey coaches.

“My ultimate goal is to be part of a hockey ecosystem that will allow everybody to get better. Through play, training or knowledge sharing. I hope the users will make it their own. It is a very exciting project”, says Dany Dubé.

Over the last few months, Coaching Technologies has had the wind in its sails. The company was part of the economic mission of the Québec premier to China last January, during which it undertook several negotiations with the Chinese market. The experience has convinced Patrick St-Cyr, also a cofounder of the company, that the interest for the product abroad is very real.

At the end of 2017, the business closed its first round of financing with private investors, including a member of Anges Québec.

“The founders have understood how complex the job of a minor hockey coach can be.  Play360tm will make it easier for the coaches, support staff and players to access all the key tools they need to perform at their best.  We are convinced that Play360tm will become the reference site for the development of hockey skills”, declares Sylvain Chartier, investor angel from Anges Québec.

“This first round of financing will allow us to speed up the development and production of content to meet a growing demand”, points out Patrick St-Cyr.
