Robert Brouillette appointed Chairman of the Board of Anges Québec
(Quebec City, September 18, 2012) – Anges Québec is proud to announce the new composition of its board of directors and that it can count on the expertise and involvement of renowned investors, including Robert Brouillette, Eng. as new chairman and Michel Brûlé, as vice-chairman. The network would also like to highlight the inclusion of Charles Boulanger among the directors who will sit on the board.
Robert Brouillette, Eng. started his career at Ogilvy Renault in 1977. In 1992 he founded Brouillette Charpentier Fortin (BCF) and in 2005 Brouillette and Partners, a law and patent and trademark agency firm catering to innovators and entrepreneurs. He is a Canadian leader in direct sales and a recognized expert in intellectual property technology law. Mr. Brouillette acts as angel investor with over 20 businesses.
Michel Brûlé is founding president of M&M Investments in 2000 and has been President of the company since that time. He previously founded or co-founded several technology companies, including OvalSys International in 1991 and InnoMediaLogic in 1996. The sale of InnoMediaLogic, four years after its creation, earned the title of Best VC deal in Canada for 2000. A successful entrepreneur, Michel Brûlé has invested in promising young businesses. The National Angel Capital Organization named him Canadian Angel of the Year in 2010. He was also appointed to the board of directors of Investissement Québec in 2011.
Charles Boulanger heads a private investment firm. He was previously President and CEO of Groupe Unipex SAS, which he made a success. In the last 30 years, his leadership has enabled him to hold senior management positions on both a national and international level in several industrial sectors in companies such as Shell Canada, Les Pétroles Irving, GSI Environnement and Prolab Technologies. He was actively involved in several private investments in the last few years.
Mr. Boulanger joins the other directors who make up the Anges Québec board of directors, namely: Martin-Luc Archambault, Mike Cegelski, François Gilbert, Nathalie Marcoux, Senia Rapisarda and Louis Saint-Jacques.
