Our CEO passes the torch!

Well into the 4th year of her mandate, our CEO, Geneviève Tanguay, has decided to pass the torch and initiate her succession process, with the support of the Anges Québec Board of Directors.

Well into the 4th year of her mandate, our CEO, Geneviève Tanguay, has decided to pass the torch and initiate her succession process, with the support of the Anges Québec Board of Directors. Indeed, the CEO succession plan has been in place for over a year, enabling us to conduct a rigorous process in line with market best practices and in collaboration with our CEO and the team in place.

Geneviève successfully led the vision and action plan adopted in 2021 to reposition Anges Québec as an investor of choice for technology entrepreneurs in Quebec. Through her leadership and managerial courage, she will have proudly accomplished the transformation of Anges Québec to version 3.0.

The Human Resources Committee is piloting the CEO succession process. The selection committee, comprising Frédéric Bastien (Chairman of the Board), Nathalie Bélanger (Chair of the HR Committee) and Serge Beauchemin (AQC Capital), will be supported by the Boyden consulting firm and the entire Board of Directors. The role will be published by the end of May/beginning of June 2024 and shared with you.

Geneviève's departure is scheduled to coincide with the arrival of the next CEO in the fall, allowing for a smooth transition in the best interests of the network and its members. We'll give you more details as the process unfolds.

Driven by the same ambition, the Board of Directors of Anges Québec is committed to continuing the development of Anges Québec and maintaining its position as an active investor in start-up technology and innovative companies in Quebec.

We would like to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of our CEO, who will be pleased to share the results of his mandate at the Annual General Meeting in September.

Best regards,
Frédéric Bastien, Chairman of the Board and
Geneviève Tanguay, CEO of Anges Québec
