Members of Anges Québec participate in a $1,6 million investment in Gradeslam

Montreal, September 14th, 2016 – GradeSlam, an online chat-based tutoring organization offering services to English, French and Spanish speaking students from grade 5 up to university studies, will be able to pursue its growth and expand its business networks with a financial support provided partly by Anges Québec members.

“To achieve the next big step for GradeSlam, we wanted to collaborate with partners who also believe in giving an equal chance to every student by democratizing tutoring services. Members of Anges Québec have been supportive and a great hand in helping us build and expand our research and development programs as well as improving our sales process”, said GradeSlam president and CEO, Philip A. Cutler.

Making tutoring affordable and accessible is the doctrine behind GradeSlam. In order to help students improve their report card, a team of pre-service teachers, masters and PhD students are in contact every day with students representing a wide range of nationalities.

GradeSlam has developed a network that extends to the U.S. and that reaches international students through virtual schools with the help of its services. Founded by former teacher Philip A. Cutler, its team now also includes the neuroscientist Roberto Cipriani as well as VP Product Saad Benryane, a former United Nations collaborator who helped establish internet design standards.
