Entrepreneurship and investments: two new directors for Anges Québec
Anges Québec is pleased to announce the arrival of two new directors on its board : Philip Hazeltine and Kathleen Ngassam. Respectively expert in legal entrepreneurship and project management, Philip and Kathleen will be able to share their expertise on the board of directors by insuring quality of communication between portfolio companies and investor requirements.
Philip Hazeltine, lawyer and business man
Following five years of law practice in a Montreal law firm, Philip decides to start a business. Neolegal is born in 2017 from his meeting with Fabien Navet and Sid Benachenhou. The goal of this first Quebec legal platform is to make justice more accessible and less complicated for individuals and small businesses.
Former angel investor, Philip is familiar with the mission of Anges Quebec. This is one of the reasons that led him to join the board of directors.
"The objective is to enhance the power of the Anges Québec's network. Thanks to my professional background in a large law firm and in the investment world, I understand the reality on both sides of the coin. I want to share my know-how to allow good communication between the parties and make everything flow" said Philip Hazeltine, President and CEO at Neolegal Inc. (Neolegal)
Method and efficiency according to Kathleen Ngassam
With a BSc in Chemical Engineering, a DESS in Project Management and an MBA, Kathleen has worked for leading players in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Abbott and Pfizer.
Not afraid of challenges, she accepted in 2011 a position of project manager at Solumet, an SME specializing in the recycling of various metals. Seeking to combine active business practices with academic knowledge, she is currently completing a PhD program in Business Administration.
A member of Anges Québec since 2016, Kathleen is pleased with this opportunity to contribute to the Anges Québec board of directors.
"Anges Québec is pampered by the quality of the applications to which it has access. As it is important for Anges Québec to develop synergies and seek the best of each director on the board, their expertise and generosity will certainly be assets. I thank them for teaming up with us" added Ginette Mailhot, Chair of the Anges Québec Board of Directors.
