Anges Québec invests $655,000 in AxesNetwork,a Sherbrooke company specializing in electronic transaction solutions
Sherbrooke, September 5th, 2012 – Anges Québec is pleased to announce $655,000 in financing to AxesNetwork, a Sherbrooke company that offers electronic transaction solutions. The financing comes from a group of 17 private Anges Québec investors including Philippe Bergeron, who headed the project.
AxesNetwork develops and markets smart card payment systems, including electronic financial transaction management and registration applications. AxesNetwork’s target market includes leisure and entertainment companies and educational institutions. The smart card payment system renders sites cashless and makes operations more secure. Additionally, through smart card readers, profitability management applications generate statistics on frequency of use for each point of sale and they measure performances.
AxesNetwork will use the Anges Québec financing to support an accelerated growth rate, as international demand for its solutions is increasing exponentially. On this subject, Alain Allard, Chairman of the Board of AxesNetworks, said: “AxesNetwork has reached a critical mass of installations that enable it to foresee rapid growth by supplying the necessary infrastructures, network platform and applications, and to stay ahead of the competition with an offer that no competitor can match. The Anges Québec investment will help accelerate the company’s international growth.”
Philippe Bergeron, the angel who headed this investment project at Anges Québec, said: “The solutions developed by AxesNetwork are specifically tailored to the very popular cloud computing and the company already has several thousand points of sale connected to its servers. In 2012, AxesNetwork connected six times more points of sale than the previous year. On top of that, demand for their solutions has literally exploded in the last few months and we are very confident as investors.”
Roger Noël, manager of Anges Québec for the Eastern Townships region added: “For our members, there’s no question that AxesNetwork is already a well-established company, which has been able to innovate and evolve by diversifying its offer to reach different markets. Our investors enthusiastically support this new stage of growth.”
