Anges Québec Appoints Christine Beaubien vice-president of investment management
Quebec City, October 23, 2012 – Anges Québec is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Beaubien, an active member of the network, as Vice-President of Investment Management. Christine will coordinate and supervise Anges Québec member investment activities and will help to negotiate and execute investment projects. She will also be responsible for assessment and continuous improvement of the investment process.
An entrepreneur and accomplished manager, Christine has nearly 30 years’ experience in information technology (IT), finance and international business. She worked on the development of major IT projects with large companies such as Desjardins, Industrial Alliance and BNP Paribas Bank in Paris. At the Quebec Department of International Affairs, she advised export companies before holding key positions at Export Development Canada (EDC) and Bombardier Capital, where she completed major financial contracts with Quebec exporters. When Christine was president and co-owner of Versus, she greatly contributed to maximizing its value, particularly by concluding a first round of private financing, by making an acquisition and by structuring company operations. She positioned Versus among the fastest-growing companies in Canada and successfully negotiated its sale to Fusepoint Managed Services (now Savvis). More recently, Christine worked as Investment Director at the Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF), before continuing her career at Groupe BSC, her own consulting firm.
Christine has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Sherbrooke University, an MBA from the HEC in Montreal and is a Certified Director (ICD.D) accredited by the Institute of Corporate Directors (McGill-Rotman).She sits on the boards of Héma-Québec (observer), the MiQro Innovation Collaborative Centre (C2MI) and Oxfam-Québec.
