A natural association for Heyday and a sizeable exit for our angels!

The Montreal start-up Heyday, a conversational artificial intelligence platform whose clients include Lacoste, Décathlon, the Cirque du Soleil, Danone, Rudsak and Jack & Jones has been acquired by another Canadian business, Hootsuite, for $60 million.

Heyday, which had tripled its sales in the last year and recently reached 80 employees, was presented to the Anges Québec angel investors in May 2018 and two angels chose to invest in it.

“We saw the great experience of Heyday’s founding team in technology businesses. Despite their respective jobs, they were not afraid to strike out on their own and inspired us with their confidence, which comes from the complementarity of their profiles, the robustness of their technology and their very clear roadmap”

- Emmanuel Guyot, angel investor

“Anges Québec was one of the first groups that believed in our business vision. We appreciated Emmanuel Guyot’s coaching during the financing process. This experience gave us confidence for the next steps and today we are proud to have become a completely successful Quebec company in the Canadian technology ecosystem.”

- Steve Desjarlais, CEO and cofounder of Heyday

The Québec start-up is continuing its conquest of the market with a natural association with another Canadian player, which will certainly contribute to accelerating its growth.
