Ginette Mailhot began her career in the property and casualty insurance industry in 1990, rising through the ranks at her firm to become a shareholder and President, the position she held when it was sold in January 2015. La Turquoise at the time managed a volume of more than $100 million in premiums, and had 150 employees working in several branches and provinces.
In 2012, Ginette proceeded to obtain her McGill/HEC Montréal Executive MBA, a degree she received in 2014 after producing a thesis on the growth of the property and casualty insurance distribution network relative to changing consumer behaviours worldwide. Her desire to continue learning and to develop personally and professionally has only increased since then. After selling her firm, she became a member of Anges Québec in May 2015. Her interest and passion led her to quickly become a member of the Board of Directors, a position she held for a year before being named Chair of the Board in October 2017.
Ginette is also very engaged with her community, serving as Chair of the Board of the Economic Development Corporation for the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Joliette since February 2016. Her two objectives:
- Give back to the community that has so encouraged her throughout her professional career;
- Invigorate the economic ecosystem of the RCM and even beyond through her involvement with Anges Québec.
