Chantal Laberge is a corporate director and strategic advisor. She guides and coaches business executives and private investors in mapping out, implementing and applying their growth strategies in strategic development, financing and investment, risk management and governance implementation contexts. Mrs. Laberge is also, a member of Anges Québec, an Angel Fund where she collaborates in managing investment projects.
With 30 years of business experience in investment, financing and consulting for companies in various sectors—new economy, manufacturers, retail and distribution, she has been involved in multiple investment transactions in development & expansion projects, M&A, succession, sale, shareholder buyout and business reorganization projects.
After a five-year career in corporate auditing at Deloitte, she worked in financing for over 20 years at the Bank of Montreal and at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. During her ten years at the Caisse, she managed over equity investments in businesses in various stages of growth. She participated in private corporate acquisitions and helped establish integration plans. She was senior investment manager and co-founder of the Fonds Manufacturier Québécois, a $100M fund for the financing and active management of businesses.
Ms. Laberge has sat as a director on the board of directors of more than fifteen private companies and non-profit organisations.
Mrs. Laberge is Chair of the Board of Directors of the YWCA Montreal, she currently sits on the board of the “Fonds d’Assurance Responsabilité Professionnelle de la Chambre des Notaires du Québec”, the Board of the Foundation of Women’s Y of Montreal and on Boards or Advisory Committee of SMEs.
In 2013, the YWCA Montreal received the Korn/Ferry–Les Affaires Award for the good governance of its board of directors in the non-profit category.
