A graduate in accounting sciences and administration sciences at Université Laval, I subsequently obtained the title of chartered accountant (today CPA-CA) and I worked in a national accounting firm (Ernst&Young) for 5 years, including 3 at the Vancouver office. I then began as financial controller at Supermétal Structures Inc to finally become CEO and eventually President and CEO.
During these thirty years at Supermétal I participated in two succession processes: once as successor with three partners and, subsequently, once as assignor.
During these years, we expanded the business from a local status to a North American dimension with two of the four plants outside of Quebec. The success of this business, which celebrated its 55th anniversary this year, rests on the teamwork which has been, and remains, an essential value both for me and for my partners.
My professional experience primarily lies in the field of manufacturing and construction. As President and CEO, I was naturally involved in all aspects of the company’s operations.
I completed certified company director training (ASC) and, since 2009, I have sat on the board of directors of the Fondation communautaire du grand Québec, of which I am the Treasurer.
